BREAKING: Kayla Harrison Officially Re-signing with PFL for 2022 Season

The 2x olympic gold medalist, and 2x PFL champion, Kayla Harrison is officially re-signing with the PFL for the 2022 season.

Kayla Harrison has left MMA fans hanging in suspense since she defeated Taylor Guardado to conquer her second PFL title. After entering free agency, Harrison made it clear she wanted to explore the market. She was able to gauge interest from the UFC and Bellator. Many speculated that the UFC was the front runner as they had one of the pound-for-pound best in Amanda Nunes, but Nunes lost her recent title bout to Julianna Pena at UFC 269. The other contending organization that people looked towards was Bellator, who has multiple time world champion, Cris Cyborg. Fans speculated far and wide about where Harrison would land.

Tuesday afternoon sources tell Breez / MMA Breez that Kayla Harrison will be returning to the Professional Fighter’s League after the PFL matched Bellator’s multi-fight offer. The PFL has the right to match, and they executed that right. This means Kayla Harrison is actually legally bound to return to the PFL for the 2022 season.

The 2022 PFL season is expected to return in the late spring, although official dates have not been announced yet.
